Blackberry Farm Bliss

It would be impossible for even the most articulate of stationers to properly convey the array of adventures available at this outstanding wedding on Blackberry Farm. The best place to start? The save the date, of course! Mr. Boddington playfully packed in all the exciting activities with an assortment of house-made fonts to alert every guest to exactly what was in store for them. So thrilled to share it all, Mr. Boddington continued busily drawing a map of the farm detailing everything from the cottages and cabins to the hiking trails and truffle orchards. Tennessee, here we come!

The Wonderful Wadsworth

The Wadsworth Mansion laid the foundation for this classic and elegant Connecticut ceremony. With the land rich in history and scattered with friends and family for the evening, it made for the most outstanding of gatherings. Both designers themselves, the couple hand picked everything with ease. Each piece included a mixture of house-made fonts and was letterpressed in a rich black ink on 100% recycled cotton eggshell paper. Clean and sophisticated with their decisions from start to finish, they were as natural as Mr.Boddington is with a stiff scotch in one hand and a pen in the other (while sailing through the Bali Sea with sea urchins on his tail, of course.) And if you can believe it, we swear they are just as sweet as they are talented and handsome. It’s true! Working with them was a Mr.Boddington’s Studio dream come true.

San Antonio Sweethearts

A dispute over the perfect nut, cashews or pecans, brought these two together while grocery shopping in Brooklyn. After hearing their cute and quirky story, Mr.Boddington immediately knew what to do for their announcements. A six paneled accordion telling their story, of course! Printed flat matte and tiny enough to fit into your cloak pocket, each panel of the accordion includes a hand drawn icon referencing a specific and joyous step in their journey together. Street signs and pizza slices, cashews and wedding cakes…Mr. Boddington made sure to include every detail.

Regan Rendezvous

Simply ecstatic over the veil, the church, the beaming couple, and those cute little kiddies Mr. Boddington could hardly contain himself for long enough to sit still and design the paper bits for these two. Finally, with his nose to the grindstone, a clean monogram centers the main invitation, is backed with a tiled geometric pattern and bound with a classic navy ribbon. A simple and straightforward approach resulting in a wedding suite that is as fresh as it is archival.

Dreaming of Dumbo

Half a world apart and long ago, both Yanni and Kapil were told that they would have to leave their homes and most cherished possessions and move to the States. For one this meant parting with a beautiful banana-seater and for the other a trusty one speed…their respective and beloved bicycles.  An initially heartbreaking separation ended up bringing these two together down the road, as it sparked their first conversation and commonality.  Their story so warmed Mr. Boddington’s heart that with bicycles on the brain, he went fast to work hand-drawing every detail…from bridges to buildings to bike-paths. Buckle up and take a look!  yanni_scrollfinal

Hojjat on the Hudson

Carrots, kabobs, cupcakes and one cute couple made this wedding suite a delight to design.  A delicately drawn lace border frames a medley of vintage fonts with the brides very own playful penmanship.  A most captivating collaboration, I must say!  Don’t you just love how the gold paper perfectly accents the vibrant hues beaming from nearly every centerpiece and treasured trinket in sight? We sure do!

The Lovely Lowris

Mr. Boddington focused his efforts on all the little extras for this extraordinary Napa Valley getaway.  With barbecues, breakfasts, bike-rides and ballgames on the bulletin, there was certainly no shortage of inspiration for what we would design! In the end, a letterpressed welcome booklet was lined with a clever Q&A chart, packed with party invitations galore, and bound together with red ribbon.  It was simply a ball creating both personal and playful touches for this truly perfect pair.   lowris_scroll3

Aviation Inspiration

A natural born world traveler, Mr. Boddington treasures the miracles of modern age transportation. While he may also hop to and fro on every vessel from steamboat to camelback to dog sled, he will always have a great appreciation for aerodynamics.  Marveled by the magic of it all, Mr. Boddington takes great delight in drawing inspiration from decades of flawless airplane advertising.  Do take a little look at the aviation inspired invites below.

Ketchum Craze

For this elegant New York City wedding Mr. Boddington’s hand-drawn monograms were letterpressed on petite programs then meticulously hand-tied with ivory ribbon. The menus, printed in the deepest of reds and richest of purples, rested beautifully under rosemary clusters. Furthermore, calligraphed escort cards were paired with pears, how clever! Classic at every turn, there were no hiccups in sight this night, even the rain was a plus. My, what dapper umbrellas…not to mention duo!
